Mark Lester played Oliver Twist in the original 1968 blockbuster film 'Oliver!', which was also a successful stage musical.

The World Premiere of Rockin' Oliver! took place on stage in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada. It was performed by the local Dewdney Players and was a huge success. One member of the audience had travelled half way around the world from Adelaide, Australia to watch it. The play received great reviews in the local press. It is hoped that the first British production will happen soon.
